Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a challenging period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
Victory also means he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my children at once, so to get a title is really nice," stated ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had led commentators to question if his capacity to play at the elite level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the last five points to go ahead.
The pair exchanged break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his first tour championship, gained dominance to create a third set.
The opponent saved 4 early-game opportunities in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner earned the title with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
